You need to be 17 to learn how to drive and have a provisional drivers licence. You might be able to start at 16 if you claim PiP.

Yes, a valid learner’s licence is required before taking practical driving lessons.
How many lessons do I need to pass the driving test?
According to the DVSA, the national average is 45 instructor hours and 20 hours additional training with parents. However, at Hotdog we pride ourselves in being far better that average! Our number one goal is to get you to passed first time, in as few lessons as possible!
What kind of car will I learn in?
We use modern, dual-controlled vehicles that are safe and easy to drive. Both automatic and manual transmission options are available.
Can I choose a male or female instructor?
Yes, you can request your preferred instructor gender when booking lessons.
